Searching?
Searching for God is a transformative journey that requires trust and perseverance. Anyone who approaches God with sincerity will find that He responds. Jesus’ promise in Matthew 7:7-8 reassures us that God is not distant or unreachable.
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened (Matthew 7:7-8).
He is near, ready to welcome those who genuinely seek Him.
Faith often begins with simple but meaningful actions: praying with an open heart, reading God’s Word, and engaging with experienced believers who can encourage you. The Bible teaches that God’s love and grace are extended to all who earnestly seek Him. His love is steadfast, and His mercies never fail (Lamentations 3:22-23). You don’t need to know everything or have perfect faith to begin. What God seeks is a willing heart and a desire to draw closer to Him.
Taking that first step can feel daunting, but remember, you are not alone. God is ever-present, ready to guide you, and there are others in your life who care deeply about your spiritual path. The Bible assures us, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8). Keep seeking, and you will discover the peace and purpose only God can provide. Trust in His promises, and He will lead you by the hand every step of the way.
Whether you’re just starting your spiritual journey or seeking to deepen your faith, continue to knock on God’s door. Below are several resources to help you understand how to have a personal relationship with Him and grow in faith. Understanding God’s Word often requires guidance, as seen in Acts 8:30-31, when the Ethiopian eunuch asked Philip for help. God provides teachers to explain His truth, but we must also study diligently (2 Timothy 2:15). Seek sound teaching and let Scripture itself be your ultimate guide.
