Living for eternity helps us cope with the evil of this world. The Bible teaches us that not all solutions for evil can be found in this world. While God has blessed us with many good things to enjoy, the pursuit of pleasure cannot give our lives meaning. God urges us to enjoy good, but to also remember we will be held accountable after death. A day of reckoning awaits when God will right all wrongs and hold us all responsible for our choices. Living for eternity helps us to prepare for that day.
